ASPEN – The Action in Africa Club from Aspen High School is presenting the Watoto Children’s Choir from Kampala, Uganda to perform at the Aspen Chapel at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The high school club, currently in its fourth year, has raised more than $100,000 for aid in Africa. This past summer, a group of Aspen students traveled to Uganda to open a library, sponsor 38 children at a local school, and visit the Watoto Children’s Orphanage. The performers coming consist of a number of children who grew up in the orphanage and are currently doing a six-month tour. The Watoto Children’s Choir is traveling in an effort to gain support around the world to help rescue more than 2 million orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda.

General admission is free, however, donations will be accepted. The Aspen Chapel is located at 0077 Meadowood Drive, near the roundabout at the entrance to Aspen.
