Two women worth noting

Dear Editor:Too many times in the newspapers we read and enjoy, we seem to repeatedly encounter so many of the same individuals over and over again while others deserve needed recognition more than the ones we read about in news and feature stories. As I recently restored my soul for about week at the Lasater Ranch in Matheson, I reflected upon the above topic and came up with two very deserving local women who would make great print in refreshing newspaper feature stories.First, we have Ms. Mary Ashkiilgaii of Aspen, who works at the Pitkin County Courthouse. Her family last name isn’t foreign but pure Navajo. I have found Ms. Ashkiilgaii’s persona is most beautifully hospitable. She is a great conversationalist on many interesting topics.Second, we have Ms. Jeri Simon of Basalt, who works at the real estate office of Mason & Morse in Basalt. I have found Ms. Simon’s southern-California-sunshine personality delightful and her many natural gifts and talents extraordinary. These two special women give Aspen, Basalt and the Roaring Fork Valley amplified higher qualities and vigor. Their platinum characters are worth more than tons of gold, silver, rubies and diamonds.Emzy Veazy III
