Tuesday’s court docket canceled

ASPEN ” The Tuesday afternoon docket for Pitkin County Court was canceled after Judge Erin Fernandez-Ely had to leave for personal reasons, authorities said.

The cancellation led to the continuance of dozens of cases previously scheduled in the afternoon. The Pitkin County Court docket typically consists of misdemeanor and traffic cases on Tuesdays.

The county court docket for Wednesday was also canceled because of the judge’s absence, authorities said.

State issues Vail Resorts a notice of violation for 2021 fish kill

Vail Resorts has received notice of violation and a cease and desist order in the wake of a spill, which qualifies as a “discharge of pollutants,” last year from part of the Vail Mountain snowmaking system that ultimately resulted in a fish kill in Gore Creek.
