Registered Aspen voters can cast their ballots in the municipal elections from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

Voters can either drop off their ballots or vote the traditional way at City Council Chambers, which is located in the basement of City Hall at 130 S. Galena St. Traditional voters must bring their identification to be eligible to cast their ballots.

The mayor’s race pits two-term incumbent Steve Skadron against challenger Lee Mulcahy. City Council members Art Daily and Ann Mullins also are up for re-election. They are being contested by Ward Hauenstein, Skippy Mesirow, Sue Tatem and Torre.

To win, a candidate must gain 45 percent of the vote, plus one vote. If the two council seats are not filled in Tuesday’s election, a runoff would be June 6.

GrassRoots Community Network will provide live election night coverage from City Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Volunteer co-hosts and Aspen newspaper columnists Roger Marolt and Lorenzo Semple III will provide coverage and analysis of election results and interviews with candidates and others. The program will be aired on GrassRoots TV cable Channel 12 in Aspen and streamed live on FaceBook and GrassRootsTV.org.
