Tuesday is deadline to vote for Aspen hospital board
Residents in the Aspen Valley Hospital District have until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, to drop off their ballots at the hospital’s administrative office for the board of directors election.
Mail-in ballots were sent out last month. Seven candidates are vying for two seats on the board, including one held by Dr. Mindy Nagle, who is seeking re-election.
The other candidates are Dr. Greg Balko, Michael Lyons, Joseph Nedlin, Peter Hershberger, Rudi E. Scheidt Jr. and Dr. Eric Willsky.
As of 2:30 p.m. Monday, the hospital had tallied 1,897 ballots, said Amy Trubiroha Wells, the medical facility’s executive assistant.
The hospital district includes all of Pitkin County except for Redstone.
