Dear Editor:One month ago, the 11th annual One from the Heart Charity Uphill Race/Walk was held at Buttermilk.Eighty-five participants and numerous outside donations helped raise over $9,000, specifically earmarked to bring chronically ill children from Denver’s Children’s Hospital up to Aspen for a summer or winter program.THANK YOU to all the participants: Orthopaedic Associates of Aspen and Glenwood Springs, Deryk at Mezzaluna, Jodi at Cache Cache, Six 89, Tiziano at L’Hostaria, Mark Purnell, Phat Thai, Fuel, Steve Smart, Aspen Daily News, The Aspen Times, Redfeather Snowshoes, The Ute Mountaineer, The Aspen Skiing Company, Denise-JR-Chris Rupinski, Bonnie and Taylor Bill, Shan, Robin, Kathy, Kaia, Diers, Evan, Sarah and the staff at Challenge Aspen, James the timing genius, The Buttermilk Ski Patrol, Caitlyn and anyone else I forgot to mention!This one day annual community event has raised over $51,000.
