True ‘social security’?

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:Persons in each separate nation must feel secure, and in order to be self-sufficient, must have personal monetary wealth. The phrase “Social Security” means exactly that. We as the United States of Americans – Americans should be emphasized – can cause this situation to come into being, for us, by paying each verified American citizen $1,000 per month starting at age 18 (eighteen) and continuing through life. This amount can be raised but never canceled.Eloise IlgenCarbondale
