Trickle-down vitriol

Dear Editor:I think I have discovered the conservative right’s new education plan. It’s called “Trickle Down Education.” It works like this: A national radio talk-show host learns a new word – I’m not sure exactly how – maybe they heard it somewhere on the street. Anyhow, in this case, the word is “vitriol.” The talk-show host then uses this word over and over in various forms of context and through “trickle down education,” their listeners and other talk-show hosts gradually pick up the word and how to use it. Through word of mouth, this education then trickles down throughout the country, from generation to generation, until the whole country can use the new word. I think they’re really onto something this time because now more than ever, I can see large numbers using the new word, vitriol, over and over. Trickle down education, this is the key.Mike TreckerTwining Flats
