Tremendous thanks
Dear Editor:
We want to send out a huge thank-you to all the wonderful firefighters who responded to the County Road 100 fire, and especially to the crews who protected our homes.
It was truly amazing and reassuring to see professionals and volunteers from all over the region moving in to battle a very fast-moving and unpredictable fire. Crews worked around the clock to keep the flames down in the woods behind our houses, and worked incredibly hard over the next two days to mop up the hotspots and cut down dangerous trees. They also were great about keeping us updated about the status of the fire, which was very helpful while we were cut off and didn’t know what might happen next.
Tremendous thanks to the great people who stand by at all times to keep our communities safe. You guys are the best!
