Tree lighting Saturday in Willits

Willits Town Center will host a tree lighting and holiday events on starting at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Santa Claus will visit with kids and there will be bonfires and wagon rides at 3 p.m. in the Triangle Park area, in front of Smoke Modern BBQ, according to the Basalt Chamber of Commerce. Kitchen Collage will host the chamber’s annual Cookie Contest later that afternoon. Non-professional bakers are invited to drop off their entries of holiday cookies at Kitchen Collage before 4 p.m., when the judging starts.

The big tree in Triangle Park will be lit at 5 p.m.
