Toy donations needed

Dear Editor:

The “Just For Me” new toy for inner-city children in Denver started at First Baptist Church in Aspen on Tuesday and runs through Dec. 15.

New, unwrapped toys costing no more than $25 each are being collected. Please, no witchcraft, now battery toys or CDs, and no electronic toys. New Spalding regulation basketballs are the most wanted item. Soccer balls, Slinkies, cars and trucks, farm sets, ranch sets, put-together craft kits, watches, radios, Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books are also wanted. Gift-wrapping paper, gift cards and Scotch tape are also helpful. Each child will receive a toy that will be given by his love fellowship in Denver to have for Christmas. This may be the only present some of these children will get for Christmas.

Please bring toys to the First Baptist Church office at 726 W. Francis St. Call 925-7828 for office hours.
