Too many cell phones, not enough rugby

Dear Editor:It sure is great to be back in the Roaring Fork Valley again, after a fabulous offseason in sweet Sayulita, Mexico. The doorway to Aspen’s back yard, Smuggler Mountain Road, has never looked better. The spring is running near the top, and the aspen leaves look greener than ever. I have noticed that fewer people, this season, seem to greet one another, most strange. Maybe it’s the increase in cell phones. I’ve noticed it over the past 20 years. It would be really nice for cell phone addicts to refrain from “using” at the new observation deck. People stopped smoking cigarettes up there years ago.Sure hope the lawyers and money guys figure out a way for us to watch some rugby in town again. Remember when there were games every weekend?Have a great summer.Martin Suthren and MaxAspen
