Too amazed

Dear Editor:

My husband and I were hiking the Maroon Bells on Tuesday and stopped midway to rest on the top hike going to the Crater Lake on the other side and he said, “Oh my God, I see a bear,” and if I had not seen it myself, I would not have believed him.

It was brown and was moving in the same direction we were in. So I said I was going back. We immediately went down and told the guides at the center. We were too amazed to take a photo. We could not tell what kind of bear it was.
