To know Mick is to respect him

Dear Editor:While it may be world renowned for its beauty and quality of life, those of us who live in the Roaring Fork Valley know that Aspen is staring at some very serious challenges. From the perennially high cost of housing, to transportation infrastructure that is stressed daily to the breaking point, to fostering and preserving a sense of community in the truest and most inclusive sense of the word, Aspen has its work cut out for it.We believe that Mick Ireland is the mayoral candidate whose experience best qualifies him to tackle these complex issues. Take a look at his résumé online at http://www.Mickformayor.com and judge for yourself. His record of accomplishment bespeaks decades worth of commitment to the land, water and people of our valley. You can’t help but admire an individual who has devoted himself so tirelessly to the myriad tasks of improving every aspect of our community. We’re not saying that to know him is to love him. But it is to respect him. We know Mick Ireland to be one dedicated, hardworking public servant who is passionate about protecting the best qualities about the place we all call home.Gail and Alan SchwartzSnowmass Village
