Aspen, CO ColoradoWith the holiday season in full swing, it’s next to impossible to be unsociable this time of year.
From office parties to open houses to theme parties, it’s easy to get double, triple and quadruple booked in one night.Aspen Sojourner initiated the holiday season with their 13th annual event held on Nov. 30 at the Hotel Jerome. The magazine honored Bob Braudis, Marian Davis and Klaus Obermeyer for their exceptional contributions to the community.
On Dec. 14, Bill Miller and Rachel Rogers hosted a festive holiday party at Bill’s pad in Holland Hills. The hostess-with-the-mostest prepped for days, then whirled around the party serving coctails, mocktails, appetizers and desserts.Another notable event took place a week or so ago at Texas Red’s restaurant in Aspen. Organized in part by Ryan Voss, the first annual mustache
party was well attended. Approximately 100 guests partook in the festivities with the girls gone ’80s and the guys with facial fur.Judges were selected randomly from the barbecue establishment to choose first prize for costumes. A proud Ian Taylor clinched first place, celebrating the achievement by pouring a cold beer over his head followed by a victory cry.
After covering costs associated with the kegs, $100 was donated to Mountain Rescue Aspen.More holiday party coverage to come….
