Tips were ill-advised
Dear Editor:
I can’t imagine why would you include detailed advice from a DUI attorney in an article about drunk driving (“The DUI Treadmill,” Aspen Times Weekly, June 29, 2008). As your article mentions, there are plenty of alternative methods of transportation in Aspen, including walking, that make it ridiculous for people to drink and drive.
I was offended when local radio stations allowed tips for avoiding DUI in their advertising, but printing those tips in an article about DUI is just shameful to me.

The town of Snowmass Village has its eyes on some safety improvements on Highline Road and a section of Brush Creek Road that will give pedestrians and cyclists a little more room to breathe on the side of the road.
