Times are a-changin’

Dear Editor:When it comes to these yet-to-be-proven concessions from Dan MacEachen of Krabloonik (Aspen Daily News, April 11) about how he’s going to kill his non-lucrative dogs and where he’s going to toss the carcasses, which the mayor of Snowmass is seemingly tickled pink about, that’s all well and good if you’re still living in the nineteenth century. But let’s not let the original issue here get swept under the carpet. There are still around 250 dogs out there, tethered on six-foot chains, some with no shade at all, laying around in their own urine from now until Thanksgiving. It’s inconceivable that we are letting this happen right here in Aspen in this day and age.Remember what Robert Zimmerman said Dan, “The times they are a-changin’.”Don DixonAspen
