Thrift Shop thanks

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the nearly 100 volunteers of The Thrift Shop of Aspen and thousands of Thrift Shop supporters and customers, the directing board of The Thrift Shop of Aspen would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to the creation of our beautiful new building.

Thanks to every person and entity who gave a gift of time, energy, moral support, and/or money. We needed and appreciated each one of you – more than we can express.

Thanks to Studio B, to Fenton Construction, to our angel John Keleher. Thanks to hundreds of financial contributors … for gifts ranging from single dollars to hundreds of thousands. Thanks to COWOP and City Council members, and to Darryl Grob and the Volunteer Fire Department of Aspen. Thanks to our volunteers, who spent countless hours packing, moving, sorting, and arranging donated goods in our new shop. Thanks to volunteer family members for sacrificing family time … there were some pretty intense days of work for all of us, and we are happy to now be up and running in our new shop.

We extend our deepest thanks to you – the residents of this valley and beyond, who support us by giving us your good donations, by shopping with us, and by receiving grants from us to fulfill your missions. You fuel our existence, and we are grateful to you.
