Three seats open for Aspen Board of Education
Nomination petitions for the Aspen Board of Education are now available for the Nov. 5 election.
Three of five seats are open, with current board members Charla Belinski and Elizabeth Parker term-limited and Bob Glah not running for re-election.
School board members serve four-year terms. Candidates must have been a registered elector and a resident of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election; a person is ineligible to run if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
Nomination petitions are available through the Aspen School District superintendent’s office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Completed petitions must be submitted no later than 3:30 p.m. Aug. 30.
