Three library terms are enough

(This letter was originally addressed to board members, friends and members of the public.)

This month marks the end of my third term on the board of the Basalt Regional Library District. I have served for 15 years, and for a variety of reasons, I have decided not to seek a fourth term. Our next meeting in February will be my last as a board member.

The district is facing many challenges, and I intend to remain involved. I will continue as a director of the Basalt Regional Library Foundation. My support at the personal level, as it has since I moved into the district 24 years ago, will not waver.

Finally, I value highly the contacts over the years with patrons, supporters and employees of the library, and these relationships will continue.
