Three cheers

Dear Editor:Aspen is a town blessed with many wonderful, generous people; among the best are the BPOE – the Elks. Once again this year, they hosted a grand holiday season party for all the area seniors. A delicious dinner, assorted gifts, everyone’s choice of drinks served by a cheerful bartender, a troop of hard-working Brownies who served, cleaned up and even sang Christmas carols. The assisted living residents arrived by van for this special treat, too. All in all, it was a much-appreciated event and we once again owe the Elks a sincere, rousing “thank you!” Three cheers from the seniors who were present.Dottie Kelleherand the seniors
