Those lying, lazy newspapers

Dear Editor:

I, too, have always enjoyed newspapers, but the ignorant bastards have no one but themselves to blame for their problems. These days, one reads the newspaper to find out what the official government propaganda is so it can be counteracted, not to learn what is actually going on in the world.

Had people done a little research on the Internet, they would have known well in advance about the problems with the economy and been able to take steps to prepare. Even after all that has happened, the papers (including the local ones) go right on printing crappy, lying B.S. from The Associated Press and The New York Times.

The major media of course are all owned by the same three or four corporations, so one expects them to lie to keep profits flowing to the congressional, military, industrial complex and the corrupt, financial banking crime syndicate who own them. The local papers at least might have an excuse – laziness and incompetence. Until newspapers become socially useful again in helping society advance, do you wonder that people tire of them?
