Theatre for a great community
Thank you for coming to Theatre Aspen shows, for participating in Theatre Aspen School education programs and for supporting the theater. It really is Aspen’s theatre, and your support during the 2009 match campaign proved it. With a goal of raising $100,000 from the community with matching funds from our Board of Trustees and patron Alex Kaufman, you stepped forward and contributed just over $130,000. Thank you!
The summer productions of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “A Year with Frog and Toad” and “Chapter Two,” directed by Theatre Aspen veteran Jay Sandrich, drew rave reviews and great crowds. Also because of your continued support Theatre Aspen is now an award-winning company (we won the 2009 Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre from the Colorado Theatre Guild!).
We increased the number of performances and had larger audiences than ever before, built on our stellar educational programming and never turned a student away due to financial need. We deepened our partnerships in the community through unique collaborations with Aspen area non-profits and were happy to open the tent to local artists in our “Sunday Series.”
As we move into the winter months and focus on our Theatre Aspen School (TAS) education programs, TAS Conservatory performances (tickets are on sale now for the new musical “13!”) and plans for next summer, we are deeply appreciative that we are part of this amazing community, and extremely grateful for your continued support.
From all of us at Theatre Aspen, thank you!

Aspen’s dirty downtown alleys are enough of a blight that the city government is taking the initiative to clean them up this week.
