The ubiquitous Emzy

Dear Editor:

Emzy Veazy III calls upon Emzy Taylor Barker IV, his little son named Emzy Taylor Barker V and all other living Emzys spelt either “Emzy” or “Emzie” to heed the call.

Since 2003 I am aware of Emzy Barker IV’s existence in the Pagosa Springs area and your Texas origins. Like him other Emzys have come to my attention over the decades.

What is the name “Emzy”/”Emzie”?! Emzy Brown told his fellow American soldiers as he fought in Vietnam of the front lines of the battle field. In 1974 someone I knew introduced two of them to me, and they knew the meaning of “Emzy” before I told them because of Emzy Brown.

In Palestine, W.Va., the hometown of rescued Iraqi Prisoner Of War Pfc. Jessica Lynch during the Iraq War II, Palestine businessman Emzy Ashby was interviewed by both the national television news and newspaper reporters about her in 2003.

Emzy Garrett Jr. in San Antonio, Texas, keeps himself busy. I heard about him in early 1975 along with a British female Emzy Parker.

There is young Emzie Parker IV who was in the Burbank-Glendale, Calif., area.

Only the brave, wise Emzys have a job to do under my leadership!

This includes both male and female “Emzys,” and Emzy Taylor Barker IV of the Pagosa Springs area if he can live up to the greatness of the name “Emzy”!

Wake up, Emzys! It is time to take of business!
