The stories we tell

Dear Editor:

Hugs and thank-yous! That’s what Spellbinders storytellers receive from the children to whom they tell stories each school year.

And that’s what we would like to give to the donors in this valley who make Spellbinders possible. They have been generous and faithful to our nonprofit’s goals and accomplishments each year. We do not want their heart for giving to go unnoticed – whether they be county boards, city governments, individuals or groups that care about our valley and its children.

It is this underlying support of these organizations and individuals that allows us to continue to train new people and to hone the skills of the seasoned storytellers. In fact, each year we are able to offer workshops in August and September for new tellers or refresh existing ones. We are receiving calls already (970-401-0618) from people who want to be trained in the art of storytelling.

So may this written word stand for appreciation, our hugs and thank-yous extended to those of you who have made, and continue to make, this nonprofit live and grow here in our valley. Your gifts of loyalty and donations help continue the connection of generations – older people to younger – through the wonder and value of fine storytelling.
