The sensible thing to do
Dear Editor:For both Aspen and Pitkin County, our electorate has voted for people who support growth controls for years. Obviously, zoning codes which limit development are important to us. However, such regulations should not stamp out vitality or cause an economic downturn. We need balance in our government, especially now in the city of Aspen. We need Tim Semrau’s practical sensibility and community commitment. We need him because he knows how to build consensus and listen to and work with differing viewpoints. He has a business background (his undergraduate degree was in accounting, and his own business, along with his wife’s, are successful). He can read a budget and interpret a financial proposal. Please vote for Tim. That’s the sensible thing to do.Penney Evans CarruthAspen
