The safest choice
Dear Editor:We should be proud and honored that Ride the Rockies is coming through our valley and accommodate them in every way. Let’s not be so elitist, and instead showcase our great amenity. It is only one day and the impact will be minimal. This is not the New York City Marathon, and people put up with that inconvenience year after year. The impact on Highway 82 will be far greater and more dangerous to the general public than it will be to have the ride on the bike path.We have participated in rides like this in the past, and it is our experience that bike paths are far safer than highways!Anne Austin-Clapper and Willard ClapperEmma
