The power of kindness

Dear Editor:Too bad there were no media around on Wednesday afternoon at the Red Onion to chronicle an amazing town event. Although the passing of Doug Belden was a shock and nothing less than tragic, his life proves once again that the power of a kind man trumps the evil deeds of bad men tenfold! Doug was an Aspen landmark, and the throngs that turned out to pay their respects overwhelmed the Red Onion and Doug’s family. Thanks for coming out and paying tribute to Doug Belden, and keep him close to your heart and your thoughts; his kindness was overflowing, and we would all be wise to pass his spirit on whenever possible.Mike TreckerAspen
