The Offspring were invigorating
We would like to use this forum to thank all those who contributed to the production of The Offspring concert in downtown Aspen Tuesday night. It was truly great to see locals and visitors, young and old, dancing in the street.
There was an excitement in the air all of X Games weekend; one that we should try to replicate as often as we can! We all need to continue to support special events which invigorate our town.
Thank you to the Aspen Skiing Co. for spearheading the events of this past weekend. Thank you to the mayor and City Council for agreeing to give the downtown concert a chance. Thank you to the local and state police for keeping all of the events safe. Thank you to Aspen’s residents and business owners who may have been inconvenienced by loss of parking, or noise, etc. Thank you to the visitors to Aspen for whom The Offspring may not have been a first choice for a public concert.
Let’s all continue to support special events in our town. We cherish the varied vitality that continues to make Aspen (and the rest of the valley) a wonderful place to live and work.
