The next grant cycle is coming up

Dear Editor:

Sharon Brenner’s Jan. 8 letter to the editor suggested that the Environment Foundation could be more effective by making grants to organizations that helped valley residents live in more energy-efficient homes.

We agree that these programs are important. The Environment Foundation is very willing to consider such projects and has funded them in the past. But we can’t support programs that don’t apply for money.

Our next grant cycle will close on March 1. I encourage anyone interested in applying to review guidelines at http://www.theenvironmentfoundation.org, and then contact me to discuss. I can be reached at mhamil ton@ aspensnowmass.com.
