The never-ending spat

Dear Editor:

Roger Marolt, I read your inane column about putting a passing lane up Highland Bowl (“Time to four-lane the Bowl,” March 2, The Aspen Times). There already is one – it’s called a skin track, you moron. Remember the race last weekend, those things stuck on the bottoms of your skis? I bet the ski patrol would love to have you volunteer your time to kick in a passing lane with your race boots. Try knocking on their door, introducing yourself and pitching your brilliant idea to them. That idea is almost as good as your idea to remove the gazebo from Paepcke Park.

You’re obviously still confused by Highland Bowl. That’s OK, it’s not for everyone. Now I see your ungulate brother is trying awkwardly to come to your rescue.

How about both of you ingrates show up to the Inferno this weekend and I can show you how I properly pass you up, then down the Bowl? On your left …

Lo Semple
