The hull ripped open

Dear Editor:

There are slow learners in every community – top to bottom – not excluding the Aspen Music Festival.

The top nine, making up the executive committee of the Music Associates of Aspen board of directors, seem to have spotted the iceberg before those below decks even knew there was one. And now the hull has been ripped open for all to see. Scramble, scramble, scramble, as down she goes.

As one of my musician friends, who has played in the festival orchestra for years, says, “Sad.”
