The earliest of the jet setters

Dear Editor: As a past member of the city of Aspen Historic Preservation Committee I would like to nominate the Prospector Condominiums opposite the Wheeler Opera House as the first historic timeshare project of cultural significance in Aspen.Surely, this jewel of land planning, real estate development, and architecture should be protected since it paved the way for the much later Hyatt Regency Victoriana timeshares by Bill Poss Architects.I do not know who the architect of the Prospector was but we should find out and invite him if available to point out other significant modernist buildings that capture that early time share/jet set crowd.Sven Erik AlstromAspen and Lawrence, Kan.
