The debt can wait
Dear Editor:
In your recent business section, there is a comment about the “cliff” and that “many liberals would rather focus on economic growth.”
I have a news flash for you. What’s the rush to pay down the debt about? Politics, that’s all. Economic pain is what most Americans are feeling.
Get the economy moving with more federal money – the debt can wait, and so can the moon and Mars, but middle-class America can’t. They need help now.

Police took tremendous care to be thorough in investigation versus priest who eventually was cleared
Aspen Police this week released a redacted report detailing the 500 hours of investigation, including interviews of 86 witness and assistance from the FBI, of an ex-altar boy’s accusations from prison in 2021 of sexual abuse by a priest who had served at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the mid-2000s.
