The bromance continues
Dear Editor:
Roger Marolt, that last letter took a lot of gall on your part (“Lo motion,” April 13, The Aspen Times). You wouldn’t know granite if you stubbed your toe on it. And furthermore, you calling me a slow skier is a textbook definition of the pot calling the kettle black.
If you remember the Power of Four Ski Mountaineering Race, I finished a full two seconds ahead of you. Any ski racer knows that is an eternity. I’m faster than you, by a lot. There might have been a brief time in history when you were faster than me, perhaps when I was an Aspenaut and you were in sixth grade, but that ship has sailed. Speed scares you. That’s why you feel like you have to make fun of me.
Admit it, Roger – I complete you.
Lo Semple
