The bayou’s best in Carbondale

Dear Editor:This past Saturday, the 19th of May, the Carbondale Clay Center hosted its ninth annual Cajun Clay Night. The party was a huge success, and we want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many people that make the event possible.A special thanks goes out to the center’s board of directors for their support and to the event sponsors for their generous donations. Gracious thank yous to Mark Fischer from Restaurant six89 and to the other restaurants for providing delicious food for everyone to fill up their bowls. Big thanks to all the businesses and artists of the valley who generously donated to our silent auction. Heartfelt thank yous to all the artists who threw nearly 500 bowls for the event and to all the wonderful volunteers who made the event happen. A million thank yous to you all!It is wonderful to be a part of an event that brings together people from the entire valley to celebrate. Get “fired up” for next year’s 10th Cajun Clay Night because it will be gatorlicious!
