Thanks to Skico

Dear Editor:

The fourth grade at Aspen Elementary School would like to send a huge thank-you to the Aspen Skiing Co. for its help and efforts in organizing our Fourth Grade Ski Day.

We could never have pulled it off without the assistance of a few amazing people, and would like to single out some of these special people for their support along the way: Matt Hamilton for helping to organize the entire event; Linda Bloomquist for arranging lessons for those who needed them; Matt Tietz for setting the kids up with equipment who didn’t have any; and last but not least, Barry Bromka and Bumps restaurant at Buttermilk, for coordinating and feeding 80 starving kids and 20 hungry chaperones.

With the generosity and kindness of the above-mentioned people, the fourth grade kids and chaperones were treated to a fantastic day of exercise and local area appreciation. It was an outstanding event, none of which would have been possible without the help and efforts of the Aspen Skiing Co. and its fine staff.
