Thanks to RFPEF

Dear Editor:The Roaring Fork Public Education Foundation (RFPEF) recently granted more than $4,500 to Basalt Middle School. These grants will fund the following projects for the following teachers: E-Mod Solar Electricity, Jane Douglass (6th grade); CSI: Forensic Science, Craig Macek (8th grade); Pinnacles of Passion, Melissa Matherly (talented and gifted, 5th grade); Debating the Issues, Valerie Black (library); and Broken Pottery Mosaic, Jacquetta Green (art).Without the RFPEF’s support, Basalt Middle School simply could not provide these innovative instructional projects. Our teachers, students and entire community will benefit from RFPEF’s fundraising and generosity. Thank you RFPEF and thanks to all of you who have contributed to RFPEF!Christian KingsburyBasalt Middle School principal
