Thanks to Aspen Community Foundation

Dear Editor:

I am delighted and honored to announce that Feed My Sheep Ministry has been awarded a grant of $7,500 by Aspen Community Foundation, and a $2,500 grant from their Baguettes Advised Fund, to help support our meal programs.

According to the director, Karen Peppers, the grant will be used towards our operating costs and the essentials we provide such as food, hygiene products, clothing and our Helping Hand Fund.

We are an established ministry for the homeless and less fortunate in the Roaring Fork Valley and surrounding counties. Administered with love and compassion, we offer encouragement and hope for our “families'” future. If necessary, we provide case management and substance-abuse programs, returning many of our clients to self-sufficiency with a high rate of success. We are celebrating our ninth year in the valley. We have a day program that offers hot showers, laundry, storage, hot meals and communication services. The winter overnight program houses men, women and families in a safe environment during the coldest months of the winter.

On behalf of all at Feed My Sheep, we give a big thank-you for believing in this nonprofit.
