I started to ski in 1976 at Aspen and fell in love with skiing and the mountains. John Denver was on his way up and put to words and music the way I felt about the joy of skiing and the beauty of the mountains. I can never forget skiing down the slopes on a beautiful day and humming his songs. Thank you, John, wherever you are, for giving us this gift to remember.
John, you still ride in the mountains, still sing in the canyons and still live in my heart.
