Thanks in baseball

Dear Editor:There is a famous movie that says, “There is no crying in baseball.” Now it may or may not be true that there is not a time to cry in baseball, but there should always be a time to say thank you. And it is now time to say thank you, even if a little late, to all the businesses, coaches and supporters of the Roaring Fork Youth Baseball Camps. Without their support, the 125 or so kids that attend these camps each summer would not get the baseball and real-life coaching that is offered. So, once again we would like to say thank you to the following supporters: Alpine Bank – Jamie Dicks; Frias Properties – Chuck Frias; Coates Reid & Waldron – John French; Mountain Chalet; KSPN – Josh Michaels and David Bach; The Aspen Times – Tim Mutrie; Morris Design – Annie Morris; Paradise Bakery – Mark Patterson; Aspen Valley Ski Club – Christie Maes; city of Aspen – Aspen Recreation Department.; Boogie’s Dinner – Lenny Weinglass; B.J. Adams – Leah Moriarty; Domino’s Pizza – Mark Campisi; Aspen and Carbondale stores; coaches – Bruce Johnson; Andy Conarroe; Dave and Jeff Lagrua; Mesa State College baseball team; BYU baseball team; Air Force Academy baseball team; Morris Fyrwald Real Estate. We’re sure that every kid who has attended over the past seven years is grateful. Also: Nick, you were part of this dream and it will never be the same without you.Steve Martin and Ron Morehead co-directorsRoaring Fork Youth Baseball Camps
