Thanks from Uganda
I would like to thank several medical professionals in Aspen who sent donated medical supplies with us to Uganda. The Action in Africa club at Aspen High School has just returned from our third visit to the community of Bira.
Eighteen Aspen High School students, graduates and chaperones traveled with a second suitcase filled with supplies from Dr. William Mitchell and Dr. Harvey Fahy’s pediatric office. A special thanks to Brenda Brokamp, R.N., for taking the time to organize the pediatric supplies. My father, Robert Christensen, D.D.S., donated more than 500 toothbrushes and other dental supplies.
Lastly, Dr. Eric Willsky collected medical supplies donated from Aspen Valley Hospital. When we arrived at the clinic in Bira the nurse was overwhelmed with the quantity and the quality of supplies. Once again thank you, Drs. Fahy, Mitchell, Christensen and Willsky for your generosity. This gesture of kindness is greatly appreciated.
