Thanks from an Eagle Scout

Dear Editor:I recently received the Eagle Scout Award, Scouting’s highest honor. This was not possible by myself, and many people in the community contributed to the success of my project. The project which I undertook was to build five park benches that would then be donated to the town of Basalt. The end result is something that I, and those who helped with it, are very proud of. So I would like to extend my thanks to everyone that made this achievement possible. To those who helped me on the project itself, and to Town Center Booksellers and Timbo’s Pizza for graciously donating money to help cover the cost of the materials. Thank you all so much; everything you have done is appreciated. I hope that everyone gets to enjoy the new benches, and that they will provide sturdy seating for many years to come.Rob JefferyBasalt
