Thanks for the laughter

Dear Editor:The Shining Stars Foundation just completed hosting over 50 children with cancer and life threatening diseases to participate in the Aspen Winter Games Week. We were fortunate to be the recipient of funds raised on our behalf because of the generosity of the Laugh Your Aspen Off Comedy Troupe, the Belly Up and all the wonderful locals who attended this event to support the foundation Thursday, March 15.Over $3,000 was raised to support our event, thanks to the Laugh Your Aspen Off Comedy Troupe, spearheaded by Clifford and Mary Fewel and their funny and talented ensemble of comics. Thanks to Mark Thomas, Don Chaney, Arthur Piubeni, Michael Yoder, Kevin Jordan, Bill Seguin, Steve Skinner, Tyson Young, Gerald DeLisser, Todd Hartley and Clifford Fewel who engaged the large crowd and made it a special evening, which gave our week a terrific start. It was wonderful to work with such committed and talented folks who worked hard to promote the show and who delivered more than they promised. On behalf of the children who benefited from their hilarious performance, Shining Stars offers its sincere gratitude to Laugh Your Aspen Off, Sandy Herron (master of ceremonies who organized the evening) and Kimberly Kuliga from Belly Up who guided us through a myriad of details to make the evening a success.Kathy GingeryExecutive directorShining Stars Foundation
