Thanks for supporting Big and Little Buddies
On Nov. 16, more than 180 Big and Little Buddies gathered at the beautiful Caribou Club to enjoy our annual “Celebrate Your Buddy” dinner. From face painting and a chocolate fountain to dancing and recognitions, the night was enjoyed by all. The Buddy Program announced the recipients of our Hero Award – Suzanne Wheeler Del Piccolo, principal at Basalt Elementary School; and our Angel Award – John Speers, general manager at the Little Nell. In addition, we acknowledged the loss of an amazing volunteer and special woman, Nancy Nelson. But most important, we recognized the time that each volunteer gives to our program – making it so critical to the youth in our communities!
The Buddy Program would like to extend a thank you to Bill Stoltz, Richard Edwards and Louie Velasquez for making the event happen! It could not have been pulled off without the help of Jen Hartley, Scott Grimm, Scott Sherry, Todd Eastwood, Trent Eldridge, Peter Rogalle, Jesse Ansel (card dealer extraordinaire). The food was outstanding. Thank you to Executive Chef Miles Angelo, Sous Chefs Mike Ziemer, Mike Riffle, Pastry Chef Donna Lilah, Aaron Williams and Katelyn Mangurian.
As the Buddy Program continues to work toward strengthening our community by guiding and inspiring youth through mentoring, we recognize we could not do it without the support and commitment from so many individuals!
