Thanks for public access to public lands

Dear Editor:

In sharp contrast to Wilderness Workshop’s Hidden Gems campaign to close access to public lands adjacent to populated areas of Colorado, I would like to whole heartedly thank Federal, state and local governments, along with private landowners, for affording access to area lands for spectators, recreational use and race support for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, Aspen Back Country Marathon and the Power of Four mountain bike race.

The public access for these events onto public and private lands was appropriate, enjoyed and appreciated. I hope we can look forward to similar uses and expanding trail networks on public lands in the area.
