Thanks for being a good neighbor

Dear Editor:

The homeowners at The Ranch at Roaring Fork send a heartfelt thanks to Heather Lafferty of Carbondale for her letter to the editor on Oct. 4 (“A fragile life,” The Aspen Times).

In her letter to the editor, she described her drive on Highway 82 with “the swans” and then not only described their beauty in flight but also how she witnessed one of the swans being downed when it flew into a power line.

Then, she not only took the appropriate action to assist the swan but also took the time to share her story with The Aspen Times and, therefore, we at The Ranch know why that swan is no longer swimming with its partner on our pond!

Thank you, Heather.
