Thanks for backing Zac

Dear Editor:On Aug. 25, a benefit was held for Zac Hill, who was involved in a motorcycle collision with an elk on Highway 82. While insured, he incurred a significant amount of out-of-pocket medical costs. The benefit was a great success, and the outpouring of support and generosity was truly humbling. We would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals that donated goods and services for the silent auction and raffle and those who donated directly. Special thanks go out to the guys at Stubbies Sports Bar & Eatery for hosting the event and getting some of their vendors involved, Kathy and Mike for working the door, our band and entertainers, and everyone who was able to attend what was a truly fun evening. We feel deeply fortunate to live in a place where generosity and the offering of support comes so easily to so many.Zac Hill, Amy Gilmer and Steve HillBasalt
