The Roaring Fork Veterans History Project steering committee wants to express our thanks to the Aspen Fraternal Order of Eagles for their generous contribution in support the veterans of the Roaring Fork Valley.
The project is co-sponsored by the Aspen Historical Society, 10th Mountain Division, Aspen GrassRoots Community TV Channel 12, Aspen Fire Department and the Aspen Elks.
We work in association with the Library of Congress to interview local veterans on GrassRoots TV to record and document their military experiences. These recorded interviews are retained by the Library of Congress and the Aspen Historical Society archives. DVD copies are provided to the veterans for their families.
On Veterans Day and Memorial Day, Aspen GrassRoots Community TV Channel 12 presents these veterans interviews to the community in appreciation of their service.
For further information about the project, contact Karen Woodard (925-1777) or Dick
Thank you, Aspen Eagles for providing for more veteran interviews.
