Thanks, buddies

Dear Editor,I want to publicly thank the Aspen Buddy Program for giving us the opportunity to contribute to their incredible program, and I want to thank all the people who gave their time and resources to our day of fishing on the Roaring Fork, specifically: Heather, Carmen and Mia, of the Buddy Program; the fishing guides, Aaron Calcott and Chris Thompsen, of Frying Pan Anglers; Kyle Holt, Adam Sadhow, Craig Langlinais and Ry Neiley, of Taylor Creek Fly Shop; and Rick Neiley and Maria Maniscalchi, of Thunder River Market, who not only donated food but also prepared it and provided the river frontage to thoroughly enjoy it. The day was a gift!I also want to publicly acknowledge the Buddy Program and all the people who make it such a vital and potent influence for the young people of this valley. This was my first experience or interface of any kind with the Buddy Program and, having a fair amount of experience with various community wellness nonprofits throughout the West, I applaud their work and efficacy.Indeed, I champion it! I also want to acknowledge and thank the volunteers who make time for the “buddies,” and I want to encourage anyone interested in playing a role in a young person’s life to get involved now.Jonathan FeinbergCarol Ann Jacobson RealtyOxbow Outfitters
